The District was formed in 1956. The District provides parks and recreation for the community. The District is in charge of the maintenance and operations of Weedpatch Park, Bear Mountain Park, Lamont Pool and Arvin Pool.

Lamont Pool is located at 8417 Palm Ave in Lamont.

Public Resources Code §5780 et seq.

Powers and Functions: Organize and promote programs of community recreation, parks and open space, parking, transportation and other related services that improve the community’s quality of life.

Formation: Any territory, whether incorporated or unincorporated, whether contiguous or noncontiguous.

5 Directors, elected by resident voters in their area to 4-year terms or appointed by the Board of Supervisors to fixed 4-year terms.
